Mavericks Reveal Major Klay Thompson News on Saturday

The Dallas Mavericks and Chicago Bulls are going head-to-head on Saturday night in a matchup that Klay Thompson entered his name in the history books.

Thompson, who has spent most of his career with the Golden State Warriors, is currently playing in his first season with the Mavericks.

While the three-point specialist was competing against the Bulls on Saturday, Thompson became the second player in NBA history to record 10+ seasons with 20 or more three-pointers.

Thompson sunk in his 200th three-pointer of the season in the third quarter against the Bulls.

Klay Thompson recorded his 200th 3-pointer of the season after his fourth 3-point make at the 10:50 mark of the 3rd quarter tonight in Chicago.

So far this season, Thompson has averaged 14.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. He's shooting 39.1% from three-point range, averaging three made threes per game for the Mavericks.

Thompson is widely considered one of the best three-point shooters in NBA history, having recently played alongside Stephen Curry on the Warriors, where the two were called the "Splash Bros."

Thompson and the Mavericks are looking to make the final playoff push, sitting at No. 10 in the Western Conference standings with a 36-38 record.

Dallas is just one game behind the Sacramento Kings for the No. 9 slot, but a major push will be necessary for the Mavericks to have a chance to compete in the postseason.
