Arsenal only have a few more days on the training pitches before they return to action. The Gunners will host Fulham at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday evening as they both look to climb the Premier League.
Before the international break, Arsenal enjoyed a 1-0 win over Chelsea, with Mikel Merino securing three important points in the race for the title. Liverpool have established a comfortable lead over the North Londoners with nine games to go, but they've shown signs of weakness recently.
The Reds have lost each of their last two games, crashing out of the Champions League to Paris Saint-Germain and losing to Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final. So, with that being said, football.london has rounded up the latest Arsenal news and transfer gossip.
Man City eye Arsenal target
According to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, Manchester City have entered the race to sign from Eintracht Frankfurt. The 20-year-old midfielder has been previously linked with a move to Arsenal following his impressive performances in the Bundesliga.
The report claims that initial talks have already taken place and Larsson is keen on joining Pep Guardiola's side. Plettenberg adds that the Gunners, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have been monitoring the Swede, who's under contract until June 2029.
football.london says: "Manchester City could soon be a force to be reckoned with again. They've been pretty poor this season, but they look set to come out swinging next term. They spent big in January, and I wouldn't be surprised if they spent big again in the summer."
West Ham make shock decision
According to TBR Football, West Ham are ready to sell Mohammed Kudus ahead of the summer transfer window. The Hammer forward has previously been linked with a move to Arsenal following his impressive performances in the Premier League.
The report claims the Gunners, Liverpool, Tottenham, Newcastle United and Aston Villa have all been keen on signing Kudus in the past. TBR Football adds that the Ghana international, who has an £85m release clause in his contract, is 'open to a move' away from East London.
football.london says: "Mohammed Kudus would be a great signing for Arsenal. He wouldn't solve all of the Gunners' problems, but a good pick-up nonetheless. That release clause is far too much though. I wouldn't spend more than £50m on the West Ham star, maybe £60m – at the very most – if he has a good end to the season."
Arsenal sent Gyokeres warning
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has raised doubts about Viktor Gyokeres, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal in the past. Speaking to Gambling Zone, the former Chelsea striker said: "You have the likes Gyokeres at Sporting, who is hot at the moment, but I have not seen enough of him to say that he could be a top, top player.
"I have my doubts about him because Brighton let him go, and they are very good with their talents, but they were happy to let him go to Coventry, and then he moved to Sporting. If Brighton rated him, if they really believed in him… he would have stayed.
"He’s doing well, but I don’t know if he’ll make it at the top of the Premier League. I know a lot of clubs are reported to be looking at him, but I’ve got my doubts that he can cut the mustard with the best strikers in the Premier League..."
football.london says: "I disagree. I think Viktor Gyokeres would do really well in the Premier League. He might not end up scoring as many, but he'd still put up good numbers. I just fear that Sporting would demand an extortionate amount."
