The Buffalo Bills have done what they could to improve the overall depth at the wide receiver position this offseason. They may not be done, either.
Buffalo signed Joshua Palmer to a three-year deal with $36 million to pair with receivers already on the roster, including former second-round pick Keon Coleman and Khalil Shakir.
With a starting trio to feel good about, Buffalo could look to address the receiver room in the upcoming draft. That could leave one veteran player already on the roster on the chopping block.
Sports Illustrated's Randy Gurzi believes that the Bills could move on from Curtis Samuel this offseason.
"Curtis Samuel is easily the biggest name on this list, and he can still contribute to an NFL roster. He proved that with his playoff performance this past season," Randy Gurzi said. "Samuel caught six passes for 81 yards and scored two touchdowns in the Bills' three playoff games. Unfortunately, he's now buried on the depth chart - and Buffalo could add another receiver in the upcoming draft.
"That could lead to Samuel's exit since the veteran is already behind Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir, and Joshua Palmer."

Samuel signed a three-year deal worth $24 million last season and was extremely helpful in the 2025 playoffs recording six catches for two touchdowns during the team's run to the conference championship.
The former Washington Commander is a player that Buffalo relied on heavily during the postseason, but with potential cap space to save, the Bills could put themselves in a position to upgrade the depth of the receiver room with a simply draft pick instead.
