It was Austin Reaves who stole the show for the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night. This is after the 6-foot-5 shooting guard went off for 31 points on 8-of-16 shooting, seven rebounds, eight assists, two steals, a block and five triples, as he led the Lakers to a 134-127 win over the Memphis Grizzlies.
Reaves has been a revelation for L.A. this season, and if anything, the 26-year-old was actually able to elevate his level of play since the mid-season arrival of Luka Doncic.
So much so, that Reaves is currently averaging 20.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists, with a true shooting percentage of 60.8%. According to StatMamba, the Lakers guard is on track to make history by having the most efficient 20-ppg season by an undrafted player.

The Lakers have eight more regular-season games remaining, which means that Reaves has a clear shot at achieving this incredible feat. He's been on quite a hot streak lately -- he's averaged 28.3 points in his last three games -- and he should be able to set the new record if he keeps his foot on the gas for the home stretch.
This is Reaves' fourth season in L.A. after going undrafted in 2021. The entire league looked over the former Wichita State and Oklahoma star during the 2021 NBA Draft, and it was only the Lakers who decided to gamble on Reaves. L.A. is now reaping the benefits of its bold move.
