So much has been made about Alexander Isak’s future at Newcastle United.
Isak is undoubtedly one of the greatest strikers in world football right now and has shown little outward desire to want to leave Newcastle United.
Still, Liverpool want to sign Isak, while Arsenal continue to be linked with a move too.
The fact the forward is under contract until the summer of 2028 appears to have been lost on many, as well as the fact Newcastle think they are through the worst of their PSR problems.
Such is the insatiable nature of the transfer rumour mill, however, stories suggesting he will leave will likely continue even well before the window opens.
What happens in the future of course remains to be seen but Isak was part of Newcastle United’s celebrations after winning the Carabao Cup.
Isak of course scored what turned out to be the winning goal against Liverpool at Wembley and was front and centre of the party, which involved an open top bus parade from St James’ Park down to the Town Moor.

Alexander Isak does brilliant impression at Newcastle United’s Carabao Cup party
Ant and Dec made a slight dig at Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister following his struggles when marking Dan Burn in the Carabao Cup final, though that was only a small part of proceedings.
A number of players were interviewed, including captain Bruno Guimaraes – who launched into an expletive-ridden song about Sandro Tonali’s apparent thoughts on Sunderland…
Isak was also handed a microphone and asked to do his best impression of a Geordie accent.
The striker responded with: “Alreet wor kid,” much to the delight of the supporters in attendance.
Newcastle transfer stance clear amid Liverpool’s interest in Alexander Isak
It’s natural a player as good as the 25-year-old would attract interest from elsewhere.
Still, Newcastle think it would be crazy to sell Isak amid Liverpool’s interest, which is certainly pleasing to hear.
Even if record-breaking money was to come in for him, it’s hard to see how the club could even start to go about replacing Isak.
He really is that good. Players like him do not come around very often.
