Liverpool make Conor Bradley decision that may surprise many as Nottingham Forest enter race…

A closer look at some of the latest transfer headlines for Liverpool and Nottingham Forest.

The Premier League is close to returning and the end of the season is in sight, meaning the summer transfer window will soon be open for business.

As Liverpool look to snatch the title and Nottingham Forest continue their impressive run towards a top four finish, we’ve taken a look at some of the latest transfer rumours surrounding these two clubs as they prepare for a highly anticipated summer.

Liverpool make decision on Conor Bradley role

One of the biggest topics that has commanded media attention in recent months is Trent Alexander-Arnold’s future. The latest update is that he is nearing an agreement with Real Madrid for a summer move, drawing a close on his Liverpool career.

While nothing concrete has been announced yet, the Reds are planning ahead for replacements and despite already having Conor Bradley at their disposal, it may not be as simple as bumping the 21-year-old up to a full-time starting role.

According to Football Insider, Liverpool are not guaranteeing Bradley that he will automatically succeed Alexander-Arnold as the first choice right-back. Those at the club are eyeing up other recruits and Jeremie Frimpong is a man who has been linked with an Anfield move for some time now.

The Reds are on the market for other right-back options as they look to bring in competition for Bradley, despite him proving his ability when filling in for Alexander-Arnold previously.

The 3AM Verdict: For many fans and even professionals, the assumption was that Bradley would be ready to step in if Alexander-Arnold does leave Liverpool this summer. Even before the links to Real Madrid, there were conversations over moving Liverpool’s No.66 into midfield, and putting Bradley in at right-back. The conversation regarding Bradley becoming a regular fixture in the Liverpool XI has been ongoing for a while now, so the decision to keep their options open may come as a surprise for many. However, if Alexander-Arnold does leave, Bradley will be the only natural right-back on the books. Signing a new player in that position will provide healthy competition and doesn’t necessarily mean they will get in over Bradley anyway. Plus, his recent injury concerns are impossible to ignore.

Nottingham Forest ‘want to rival the elite’ for £63m forward

Nottingham Forest are enjoying a stunning season as the Premier League dark horses. After battling against relegation, the Reds are now on track to secure Champions League football at the end of the season.

Thanks to their impressive performances, Forest have been linked with some exciting transfer targets ahead of the summer window. It seems they are looking to really establish themselves back in England’s top flight and continue this superb momentum.

According to another Football Insider report, Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis ‘wants to compete with Europe’s elite’ in the race to sign Victor Osimhen. The highly sought after striker is finally expected to leave Napoli, with huge interest being shown in him from the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain all linked.

The 3AM Verdict: While you cannot knock Forest for backing themselves amid this impressive season, this is a tough race to enter. Not only will Marinakis and co need to fend off fierce competition, especially from the potential Premier League champions, they will need to cough up huge money to see a deal over the line. Osimhen’s release clause stands at a reported £63 million and he is quoted to be seeking a huge wage packet. While the Reds are looking to take some ambitious leaps, they may not have the financial firepower to see off the others in the race for the hot property that is Osimhen.
