West Ham United already have one eye on the summer transfer window, which will mark Graham Potter’s first off-season since he was appointed in January.
The Hammers do not have anything serious riding on the rest of their season as they have all but guaranteed their Premier League status already.
Meanwhile, a top-half finish could be beyond the reach of Potter’s men this time around as they sit 10 points behind 10th-place Bournemouth.
West Ham have won two of their last four games and are next in Premier League action against Wolves in the West Midlands on 1 April.

Twist emerges in West Ham’s pursuit of Solet

It was previously reported that Potter’s men would have to pay at least £25million for the 25-year-old’s signature.
However, according to John Cross in The Sunday Mirror’s print edition (30 March), Udinese are actually demanding £30million-plus for West Ham target Solet, who is also being tracked by Manchester United, Lazio, Inter and Napoli.

Solet could be a strong signing for West Ham
Solet has made just 10 appearances for Udinese since joining from Austrian side Salzburg in January, but he has already attracted plenty of suitors in the transfer market.
Udinese have maintained five clean sheets since Solet’s arrival, demonstrating the defensive solidity the Frenchman has brought to the table since his arrival.
Ahead of his move to Salzburg in 2020, the defender plied his trade for Ligue 1 giants Lyon, so he has now played in three of Europe’s top-flight divisions.
Solet has already helped Udinese avoid defeat against Serie A title challengers Atalanta and Napoli, so it is not a surprise that he has attracted interest from the likes of Manchester United.
West Ham would do well to fend off the Red Devils, as well as Italian giants Napoli and Inter, in the race for the defender’s signature.
But if Potter’s men can reach a deal with Udinese for Solet this summer, then they will be getting their hands on a player who will only bolster their backline.
