Everton are set to endure a summer of change under new owners The Friedkin Group and will soon relocate from Goodison Park to their new stadium on Bramley-Moore Dock.

Director of football Kevin Thelwell is leaving the Toffees at the end of the season amid a major reshuffle of the Blues’ board.

Meanwhile, Angus Kinnear is joining the Merseyside outfit from Leeds to become their new chief executive ahead of next season.

Everton are hoping that David Moyes‘ first full season back in the dugout will be a success after he has steered them away from relegation trouble this time around.

Meanwhile, according to Alan Nixon via his personal Patreon page (30 March), current chief scout Dan Purdy is set to stay with Everton as Kinnear is a known admirer.

Purdy’s position with the Merseyside club has been under review, but he now looks set to remain part of Moyes’ staff as part of the imminent shake-up.

April will provide Moyes with his biggest test since his Everton return

Moyes deserves plenty of credit for steering Everton away from the relegation battle into a position where they are now 17 points clear of the bottom three.

Everton are enjoying a strong unbeaten streak

The Toffees have enjoyed a nine-game unbeaten run in the Premier League, demonstrating the solidity Moyes has brought to the table since replacing Sean Dyche.

However, the Blues have drawn each of their last four games in the top flight, having failed to win since their 2-1 triumph over Crystal Palace on 15 February.

Everton’s unbeaten run could be under serious threat as they are set to face league leaders and Merseyside rivals Liverpool at Anfield in their next Premier League game on 2 April.

After that, the Toffees then face successive encounters with Champions League chasers Arsenal, Nottingham Forest, Manchester City and Chelsea.

The Goodison Park faithful will be grateful that their side are heading into that tricky run of fixtures having already erased the threat of relegation.

But there is no doubt that next month will provide Moyes with his biggest test yet since his Everton reappointment, and he would do well to steer the side to victory for the first time since February in any of their next five games.
