Bournemouth v Manchester City: Gut Feelings

Manchester City will attempt to reach Wembley as they take on Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The Blues will be looking to salvage their season by winning the only piece of silverware available to them, but face aa Bournemouth side who will also be eager to bring the trophy to the South Coast for the first time in their history.

The Cherries gained their first ever victory over the Blues and will be looking to build on that while City will want to gain some revenge foe that loss in November.

As usual, our team are here to give us their views and prediction on how the match will go.

Saul

Tricky match here. Need the win as we hope for a trophy this season. Expect a good performance given the break for some players. 3-1 City.

Bournemouth 1-3 City

Thomas

The International break is over and City should be rested and recharged for their push to recapture the FA Cup. The Cherries await City at the Vitality Stadium in the Quarter-Final. City are now favourites to hoist the cup and should look the part against Bournemouth. I’ll back the lads to take the lead early and see it out comfortably.

Cherries 0-2 City

Will

I really don’t have a good feeling about this game.

City were stuttering again before the international game, and they’ll certainly struggle against a high flying Bournemouth.

The fitness of Josko Gvardiol could be key in separating two very similar teams. I think, however, that the Cherries may have the edge and end City’s chances of winning silverware this campaign.

Bournemouth 2-1 City

Pete

This will be a tricky tie to overcome and I’m not expecting any sort of goal flurries. I think it will be a tight affair with a solitary goal that decides it.

Bournemouth 0-1 City

Our last outing, which was at home to Brighton that feels it was about three years ago, ended in a decent 2-2 draw. It didn’t really help the Blues in their quest for the Champions League but it helped Will bag a couple of points for getting the right number of goals.

We all went for a win and Pete was begging for a last minute City winner to finally get his first spot-on prediction of the season. Sadly, it wasn’t meant to be as the Blues let us down, not for the first time this season.

Here’s the table:
