Thomas Frank has hit out at the 'bloodthirsty' personal criticism aimed at Celtic No1 Kasper Schmeichel.

Schmeichel was injured on international duty and missed the win over Hearts with Brendan Rodgers refusing to put a timeline on any spell out pre-match.
In the wake of the defeat, the Danish FA and their Players' Union had to get involved after an offensive column criticised his weight and compared him to a 'child with polio'.
Brenford's Danish boss and fellow countryman Frank has now charge in to defend the veteran Celtic keeper. He said: "In this case, I think the criticism has certainly crossed a line.
"It definitely went after the man. If you're going to give such criticism, you should try to put yourself in the other person's shoes and see how it's received. That's normally my advice
"We should be happy about the debate. But in my opinion, it should be constructively critical.
"I do not believe that the choice of words in question is representative of the Danish media in general.
"Kasper Schmeichel and other national team players know that it comes with the job to be criticised when you make mistakes. And my experience is that they are usually their own biggest critics.
"But when you criticise, you have to do it with style and insight. You must not become perfidious or bloodthirsty. No one benefits from that."

Daizen Maeda grabbed a double to take his season tally to 30 goals while Jota also got in on the act in Glasgow's east end.
The Hoops are on the hunt for a domestic Treble and are edging closer and closer to the Premiership crown.
