Premier League clubs have confirmed the dates for the 2025 summer transfer window following a unanimous vote at Thursday’s shareholders’ meeting in London.
According to Sky Sports, the window will feature two separate registration periods because of the new Clubs World Cup format.
The first transfer period will run from Sunday, June 1 to Tuesday, June 10, as part of an exceptional provision to accommodate the expanded CWC, although that window is not limited to the participating teams from the Premier League, Chelsea and Manchester City, meaning all EPL clubs will be free to conduct business during that timespan.
The standard summer window will then open on Monday, June 16 and close on Monday, September 1, in line with other major European leagues.
Talks had taken place about bringing the deadline forward to mid-August, but for now Premier League clubs have agreed to maintain their window aligned with most other top Europea leagues across the continent.
