Among the influential players has been loan ace Ben Doak. Injury has hampered his second half of the season but interest has been prominent all year and it has not waned despite his issues.
Now, amid persisting links with Premier League clubs, the Middlesbrough star is now being eyed for an ambitious Everton move.
Reporter Alan Nixon has said on his Patreon that the Toffees are admirers of the Liverpool loanee and are eyeing a swoop on their rivals for the Scottish winger. It could be wishful thinking tempting him from Anfield to Goodison, but David Moyes is a big fan.
Crystal Palace have been linked regularly but their swoop is in doubt, though Bournemouth are keen and could be a preferred destination for the Boro loan ace amid a £25m asking price.
Ready for a step up
Doak had found first-team chances with Liverpool before his loan move to Middlesbrough but last summer’s switch has given him the opportunity to play regularly at a competitive level of football.

Doak has managed three goals and seven assists in 24 Championship gems for Boro. His mazy runs on the right made him an eye-catching player and a constant headache for opposition full-backs when fit, but Michael Carrick hasn’t been able to call on him since January due to injury.
Boro’s big attacking assets
Doak may only be on loan at Middlesbrough but he’s been among some top attacking assets at the Riverside Stadium this season,

Kelechi Iheanacho got off the mark in Boro colours against Oxford United while fellow winter signing Morgan Whittaker is a top player at this level, although he is still finding his feet.
