Mark Gillespie (L) and Joelinton of Newcastle United celebrate on stage
[Newcastle United](http://Newcastle United) players took to the stage in front of 150,000 fans at the Town Moor to hoist the cup for the first time since bringing it back from Wembley.
As the players were called on to the stage by TV duo Ant & Dec, a huge roar went up for each and every player following open top bus parade around the city. The day was exactly how many had dreamed it would be as the bus snaked around Gallowgate, through Percy Street and on to the Great North Road before ending at the Town Moor.
Former favourites like Alan Shearer, Les Ferdinand and Bob Moncur all made appearances on the Town Moor. But the current crop enjoyed an electric ovation from the mass gathering.
Here's what was said on stage:
Eddie Howe
Howe thanked the fans and hoped that the Carabao Cup win could be the start of something really special. Howe told fans: "We wanted to try and bring success, happiness to everybody here, but the scenes today have just taken our breath away.
"A big thank you to everyone that's come and supported us. The loyalty, passion, devotion that you show us, and we really appreciate it. Thank you."

Alan Shearer
The legendary no.9 got emotional when remembering his father who sadly passed last year. When talking about what a cup win would have meant to Alan senior, Shearer said: "Unfortunately, my dad passed away last May. He was lucky enough to be at the final in '69. I just wish he could have hung on for one more year just to see and sample this."
Bruno Guimaraes
The skipper demanded the microphone but landed himself in trouble after swearing during a Sandro Tonali chant in which he turned the air blue with a reference to Sunderland. The Brazilian left his manager Eddie Howe in stitches by starting a "La, la, la, Geordies" chant.
Bruno said: "I feel everybody here deserves it. Seventy years is a lot for our fans and we are hopeful this is just the beginning. We want more, and we're going to work for it. The fans mean a lot to us and we did it for them. We spent a lot of time together, so they deserve everything, and we play for them."
It was then that Bruno burst into a chant of: "Sandro Tonali, Sandro Tonali! He eats spaghetti, drinks Moretti, he hates f****** Sunderland." Bruno then summoned Mark Gillespie to the front of the stage.

The reserve team stopper grabbed the microphone and started a chant about Joelinton. The goalkeeper chanted: "He's Brazilian he only cost £40m, we think he's f****** brilliant, he's Joelinton."
But it turned out that Gillespie was taking part in a dare set by his captain. After turning the air blue like his skipper, the former Carlisle goalie said: "Bruno is going to pay for my holiday now!"

Jason Tindall
The popular assistant manager paid tribute to the players that have not featured so regularly. Tindall said: "It is an unbelievable squad. But even the guys that haven't managed to get on the pitch throughout the season, especially in the cups are amazing. Everyone says it we have the best fans in the world for sure. We want to thank everybody for such an amazing turn out."
Alexander Isak
Isak, who saw his goal replayed on the big screens, was blown away by the crowd. He said: "It’s impossible to describe this feeling. I scored a goal a minute earlier which was offside. My goal was probably the biggest of my career. Obviously, with it getting us the win in the end. It felt amazing."
