Jeffrey Schlupp has dropped the biggest hint yet that he wants to stay at Celtic permanently.
The on-loan Crystal Palace defender has been a huge success since his temporary move to Celtic in the winter transfer window.
After making his 11th appearance of the season in Celtic’s win over Hearts, left-back Schlupp has his eyes on some silverware as a league and Scottish Cup winners medal beckons for the Ghanaian.
However, as his temporary deal nears its end, Schlupp was asked if he would like to stay at Celtic and what the club have said to him about coming to Parkhead permanently.

Jeffrey Schlupp reacts when asked if he wants to stay at Celtic
The Celtic defender took in the press duties after the win over Hearts as he shared how he really feels in Paradise as the league title win closes in.
Schlupp told Celtic TV, “I mean at the minute, I’m absolutely loving it. I’m loving it. Regarding next season, obviously, nothing’s been spoken about yet.
“I’m just concentrating on this season, getting some more minutes and then winning some more games and having some fun.
“Everything’s a possibility. Again, just keep focusing on the next few games and then hopefully, we can finish the season off really strong, keep winning games and then we can go from there.”

Jeffrey Schlupp will ‘think seriously’ about permanent Celtic move
With his current deal at Celtic due to expire on the 31st of May and his Crystal Palace contract ending exactly one month later, Schlupp is free to talk to any club ahead of the summer.
But when asked if he would take the chance to come to Celtic permanently, the 32-year-old said that is something he would ‘think seriously’ about.
Schlupp continued, “I think seriously about everything. Coming here in the first place, I have to think seriously about everything which I did and made the decision to come here
“So again, anything that does happen in the summer, regardless of where it will be, will be a big decision for me, so we’ll just see what happens.
“As far as I’m aware, I’ve come here on loan, that’s all that’s been mentioned. Come here on loan, play to the end of the season, get some minutes in and have some fun.
“Play well and then literally we’ll see what happens after. That’s all was mentioned.”
With Kieran Tierney coming to Celtic in the summer and it looking like Greg Taylor will leave the Bhoys, Schlupp would be a perfect backup option to the incoming Arsenal man.
With experience in the Premier League and clearly still able to handle himself in the Champions League, it does seem like adding Schlupp permanently is a no-brainer for Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers.
With just two months to go until the end of the season, the positive for Rodgers is that at least Schlupp is open to a Celtic move which, if it comes about, will help to start preparations for the season ahead early.
