Leeds United are not only going to have to consider sourcing a replacement for Angus Kinnear as CEO, but also recruitment consultant Nick Hammond, who are both Everton bound this summer.
The Whites have promotion still firmly in their view with seven games left to play, and before they can start planning for life in whichever division they are in next season, there are plans that need to be put in place prior to that.
Paraag Marathe and the 49ers have needed to oversee major change off the field at Elland Road since taking over, and more transition is afoot soon.

Confirmation has already come that Angus Kinnear will be leaving his position as Leeds’ CEO at the end of the season to take up a similar role at Everton.
However, he is already looking to bring some of his Elland Road colleagues to Bramley Moore Dock in the summer, with The Athletic reporting that Leeds’ transfer advisor Nick Hammond is “in the frame” to move to Merseyside too:
“At Leeds United, trading/negotiating was done by a freelance consultant, Nick Hammond, who is highly regarded by Kinnear from their time together at Elland Road. He is in the frame for a similar role with Everton.”
Since joining Leeds in the summer of 2023, Hammond has been in a rolling freelance role at Leeds and is now expected to leave, per the report.

49ers have double appointment plans to commence after Kinnear, Hammond news

Marathe is already no stranger to having to make key appointments and replacements since becoming chairman of the club in June 2023.
Gretar Steinsson’s appointment and subsequent move to a general role in the 49ers has prompted change, as has Jordan Miles’ fleeting visit as head of recruitment, among other switches behind the scenes too.
Leeds have already responded to Kinnear’s confirmed exit with the appointment of Peter McCormick as executive vice chairman, but that won’t go down as a definitive replacement for the outbound CEO, given the differing titles.
Now, with a key figure in the recruitment side of the club also said to be joining Kinnear at the Toffees, it leaves Marathe with a void to fill ahead of what will be a hectic summer no matter the outcome with promotion.
Should Leeds get promoted, the overhaul needed to strengthen needs everyone pulling in the right direction, and if Leeds stay down, the sale and replacement of key talent will be vital too.
