West Ham Battle Man U For 17 Year Old ‘Precocious’ Talent

**West Ham** are keeping a close eye on yet another Greek wonderkid — not to be confused with Konstantinos Karetsas.

The Hammers have sent scouts to monitor Olympiacos teenager Charalampos Kostoulas with a view to signing him this summer. West Ham are not the only Premier League club interested either, with Manchester United also keeping a keen watch on the young striker.

[Claret & Hugh](https://www.claretandhugh.info/category/news/) have been informed by a training ground source that the club are “playing catch-up” following the arrival of Graham Potter and recruitment chief Kyle Macaulay. But on a more positive note, we’ve also been told that West Ham are “very ambitious with some of the players we’re looking at.”

Kostoulas is expected to cost around £25 million — a whopping price for a relatively unknown player — but he’s seen as a young talent with serious potential to become a star in the years ahead.

At just 17 years old, the striker has already made 33 appearances for Olympiacos, scoring six goals — eight of those appearances coming in the Europa League. He’s widely regarded as one of the brightest prospects to emerge from Greece in recent years and is part of an exciting new wave of young talent coming through.
