Everton will look to enjoy an exciting summer transfer window ahead of relocating from Goodison Park to their new stadium next term.
The Toffees have set their sights on Sunderland star Chris Rigg, who has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Championship.
The Mackems look set to land a Championship playoff spot this season, which is largely thanks to the efforts of Rigg, who has appeared in 35 of their 39 league games.
At just 17 years old, Rigg still boasts bags of potential while he is a regular feature on the England youth international scene.

According to Alan Nixon via Patreon (30 March), Toffees boss David Moyes has sent trusted ally Charlie Adam to keep tabs on Mackems ace Rigg.
But while Sunderland are not against the idea of the youngster leaving, the Blues have been put off by the Black Cats’ £40million asking price, which is dubbed by Nixon as “crazy”.

Everton look set to miss out on Rigg’s services
Rigg could be an exciting signing for Everton, who are looking to enjoy a bright future under Moyes at Bramley-Moore Dock.
But it is no surprise that Sunderland’s lofty asking price of £40m has done enough to put both the Toffees and West Ham off from agreeing a deal with the Mackems, as per Nixon’s report.
It is sensible that Everton’s new owners, The Friedkin Group, are not willing to pay a large sum for an EFL player who does not boast any Premier League experience.
But the Toffees are not alone in their interest in Rigg, who has become a top target for Manchester United amid the Red Devils’ aspirations to restore former glories.
The likes of Man United could be more willing than the Toffees to stump up £40m on Rigg, which could mean that Moyes and Co. are set to miss out on signing one of the country’s most exciting young talents.
