It appears that Leicester City missed out on one golden talent who continues to impress at his new club.
Despite Ruud van Nistelrooy wanting to sign players in four positions the transfer window proved to be a failure as the Foxes only signed one player.
The story of their window was players being interested only to be snapped up by other clubs and one bargain who ended up leaving the Premier League for Champions League regulars actually turned down other offers from around the world.
Jakub Moder turned down Saudi Arabia offer to join Feyenoord
Jakub Moder was at Brighton & Hove Albion until January 2025, when he left to join Dutch giants Feyenoord.
At the time, it seemed like it wouldn’t be the worst transfer to miss out on given Leicester’s options in midfield but they’ve been proven wrong.
Leicester were interested in Moder and despite the Champions League star coming ‘very close’ to joining the Foxes, he ended up in the Netherlands.

According to Voetbal Primeur, Leicester wasn’t the only club he turned down, with a proposal from a team in Saudi Arabia making him an offer to become ‘filthy rich’.
Money wasn’t the be all and end all though and he appears to have made the right call.

Jakub Moder would’ve been an upgrade on Leicester midfielders
The Foxes have a lot of midfielders on their books but looking at it now, Leicester missed a trick not signing Moder.
Oliver Skipp has failed to meet expectations since arriving for over £20m in the summer and Boubakary Soumare, Wilfred Ndidi and Harry Winks have all disappointed too.
Not only would the Foxes have saved money in the first place signing the Poland international instead of Skipp, they may have had some more form in the middle of the park.
