**West Ham** striker Niclas Füllkrug is said to be fit, firing, and highly motivated to finish the season strongly.
The German forward has barely featured since joining from Borussia Dortmund for £27 million last summer, having sustained two serious injuries.
Füllkrug played 45 minutes in a behind-closed-doors game at the Rush Green training ground last week. The 31-year-old has previously described his transfer to West Ham as a “disaster” and is now determined to end the season on a high.

But he is very motivated and wants to finish the season strongly.”
We have also been informed that the big German is training well and ready to play his part against Wolverhampton Wanderers if needed.
Earlier this week, former West Ham director of football [Tim Steidten](https://www.claretandhugh.info/tim-steidten/) said he had no regrets over signing Füllkrug and would do so again if given the chance. Steidten praised his compatriot’s “unique skills” and suggested that his leadership qualities could still play a role this season.
Whether Füllkrug is simply playing catch-up — or playing for a move — hopefully the team will be the beneficiaries.
