The Kansas City Chiefs' offseason has been dominated by one position worry, and it's a big one for quarterback Patrick Mahomes - the offensive line.
After the Super Bowl loss, that took the season's total of sacks to a whopping 47, the most in Patrick's career, the Chiefs went out and signed San Francisco 49ers backup Jaylon Moore to be the starter at left tackle.
With Kingsley Suamataia and Wanya Morris both looking shaky during their time as Mahomes' blindside protector, Moore will slot straight in, but for many, that still shouldn't be the end of the offensive line reinforcing.
As such, in ESPN's latest seven-round mock draft, the Chiefs pick up an offensive tackle, Charles Grant, in the second round.
"Signing Moore shouldn't be the Chiefs' last move at offensive tackle, especially given the inconsistency their returning players showed a year ago," ESPN writes. "Grant is an amazing mover at tackle with fluid, quick feet and the length to make an impact on the left side of the line. But he needs to develop as he graduates from facing FCS competition to NFL defenders. Grant is a redshirt player with a future at left tackle if he can add strength in his lower body."
The Chiefs would be getting a consistent performer who, per NFL.com draft analyst Lance Zierlein, has better technique than some of the higher-rated linemen. Grant could be a potential starter down the line.

With Moore's two-year deal, if Grant shows something in training camp and in the regular season, then the Chiefs could be forced to think long and hard about who to move forward with.
As ESPN has seen him as a developmental player, if Grant can hone his craft with the Chiefs, then who knows what the future might hold? However, as a second-round pick, Kansas City would expect him to feature in his rookie season.
