The Gunners are preparing to bring Hugo Ekitike to Emirates as per multiple reports.
Hugo Ekitike is being tracked by Arsenal
Arsenal are planning for a move for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike as per The Sun. He is seen as an option instead of Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak. Hugo has netted 19 goals and has eight assists in 38 games this campaign so far.
He was very close to joining Newcastle in January 2022. But the deal didn’t happen. He also found it hard to perform while he was at Paris Saint-Germain. Although now he is in a great form in Frankfurt. His move is currently valued around £60 million.
Isak is the first choice for the Gunners. However, the Magpies are in no mood of selling him. They might consider his transfer if the offer is near to £150 million.
The France international is known for his pace and ball control. He takes on defenders quite well. He is good at making the opponents commit and draw a foul on him. The attacker also knows how to create goal scoring chances in tight spaces.
The 22-year-old forward is great in one-vs-one situations. He is full of energy and stamina. The player likes to run all over the pitch to get the ball while defending.
Mikel Arteta will be looking to add a new striker to his squad, finally. His club failed to sign any attacker in the past few windows. That might have cost them the Premier league title this year too.
Will Arteta to finally sign a forward?
The north London side are said to have interest in Ekitike as per reports. They see him as the best option after Isak. They are also expected to end this season on the second for the third year in a row.

Some may think that the lack of attacking options have cost them the league again. The London side have failed to bring a finisher for two to three years now. They need a proper number nine in the team.
As of now the Frenchman is being looked at for a move this summer. He is having a great run in the Bundesliga so far.
