Bruno Guimaraes is a Newcastle United legend.
Despite so much talk about his future since pretty much the first moment he arrived at Newcastle United, Guimaraes is a man steeped in black and white.
The Brazilian star has constantly talked about how much he enjoys life at the club and recently entered a new realm within Newcastle folklore.
Earlier this month of course, Guimaraes became the first Newcastle team captain to lift a major domestic honour since way back in 1955 after Eddie Howe’s side won the Carabao Cup.
A brilliant Newcastle beat Liverpool 2-1 in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley and, at long last, they were finally able to celebrate it in the city on Saturday.
Guimaraes was front and centre of the celebrations, making headlines by leading a song about Sandro Tonali’s apparent thoughts on Sunderland.
Still, even before that, the Newcastle captain made an interesting comment in regards to Kieran Trippier.

Bruno Guimaraes confirms Kieran Trippier convinced him to join Newcastle United
Newcastle paid around £40million to sign Guimaraes back in January 2022.
At the time, the Brazilian was taking a risk. A fully-fledged international for one of the biggest countries in the world who was then playing for a big team in Lyon leaving for a relegation-threatened Newcastle was a gamble.

Still, the midfielder admitted that the fact a player as established as Trippier – then an Atletico Madrid star and a regular England international – had taken that step only a few weeks before helped convince him to believe in the project.
“He was an inspiration for me to come to the club,” said Guimaraes of Trippier.
“I have to say thank you to him. His move to here motivated me to come to the club.”
Bruno Guimaraes admits Newcastle fans did something that made him feel like the world’s best player
Guimaraes was emotional after Newcastle won the Carabao Cup, which explains just why the club’s supporters love him so much.
The Brazilian is not just brilliant on the pitch, he’s a hero off it too. No matter if he ends up leaving one day, Guimaraes clearly loves playing for the club.
Reflecting on the sheer scale of the party on Saturday, Guimaraes admitted the Newcastle celebrations made him feel like the best player in the world.
