Former college basketball star Drew Timme has proven he can shine on the NBA hardwood, turning in a stellar performance for the Brooklyn Nets in just his second game and earning a three-word statement of praise from the team.
The former Gonzaga big man earned a multi-year contract from the Nets after a huge season with the G League's Long Island Nets. He was averaging 23.9 points and 10.3 rebounds per game in the developmental league, coming off NBA G League Player of the Week honors after he scored a career-high 50 points on March 22.
Timme continued his hot streak in the NBA, coming off the bench to score 19 points including the game-winning basket in his team's 115-112 win over the Washington Wizards on March 29.
After the game, the Nets took to social media to share an image of Timme from his postgame interview and a bit of understated praise.

"pretty, pretty good," the team wrote.
Timme had a long journey to that moment, going undrafted after coming out of Gonzaga in 2023 before ultimately landing with the Wisconsin Herd of the G League. Timme suffered a left foot fracture and underwent season-ending surgery in February 2024.
Timme continued to bounce around the G League this season, being traded to the Long Island Nets in December. The 6-foot-10 forward also had a strong performance in his debut with the Brooklyn Nets, scoring 11 points with 10 rebounds in a 132-100 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.
