What Jean-Clair Todibo has reportedly told his agents about potential West Ham exit

Jean-Clair Todibo joined West Ham United on a season-long loan in the summer of 2024.

West Ham hijacked Juventus’s deal to sign Jean-Clair Todibo seven months ago, after Tim Steidten flew out to Nice at the 11th hour to strike a deal for him.

However, it always felt like the 25-year-old didn’t actually want to move to the London Stadium.

It was even suggested that Jean-Clair Todibo was forced into joining West Ham.

He struggled massively during the first half of the season, after falling out with former Hammers boss Julen Lopetegui.

However, Jean-Clair Todibo seems to have come into his own under new head coach Graham Potter.

But will we see him in a Hammers shirt next season?

The Frenchman is widely believed to be one of the best central defenders in Europe.

We haven’t seen the best of him at the London Stadium yet.

However, West Ham will buy Todibo on a permanent deal from Nice in the summer.

According to The Athletic, the Hammers could have activated that obligation to buy the centre-back in January, before selling him on for an immediate profit.

However, the towering defender told his agents that he was happy and had no interest in leaving the London Stadium.

Give Me Sport recently claimed that Todibo is a key target for Man United boss Ruben Amorim.

It doesn’t surprise me that the Red Devils may want to sign the Frenchman – he is one of the very best around when he’s on top form.

However, Jean-Clair Todibo is clearly very happy at West Ham right now.

So I fully expect him to stay with us, for one more year at least.
