Brentford Women were ruthless in their finishing as they defeated Hackney Women 10-1 on Sunday afternoon.
The goals were flowing as Chloe Logie netted a brace, Maddie Phillips and Nikki Woods both scored goals from distance, Samantha Read, Ashley Cheatley, Habeebat Gbajabiamila and Kirsty Matthews added to the tally. Two own goals rounded off the scoring.
Despite the dominant scoreline, it was Hackney who settled quickest of the two sides as they looked to disrupt the Bees' rhythm.
Against the run of play though, Logie gave Brentford the lead, slotting from close range as she capitalised on a loose pass from the opposition.
Phillips doubled the lead with a great strike from distance which caught the goalkeeper off guard.
On 11 minutes, Osborne's side were three goals up as Logie grabbed her second of the game. The Hackney goalkeeper's clearance inadvertently went in off the striker.
The home side did capitalise on an underhit back pass as their striker finished well from close range to pull a goal back for the team.
That goal was a momentary blip though, as the three goal lead was restored, the Bees put enough pressure on the Hackney defenders from a corner as one of their players diverted an attempted clearance into her own net following a goalmouth scramble.
The fifth came on 42 minutes as Woods slalomed her way through a number of challenges before whipping a great strike into the top corner.
Cheatley got her name on the scoresheet early in the second period as she finished well from close range.
On 67 minutes, the scoreline was 7-1 as defender Read popped up in an attacking position to react quickest to a cross in the box.
An eighth was scored as Hackney conceded their second own goal of the game.
Second-half substitutes Gbajabiamila and Matthews added their name to the scoreline which gave the Bees 10 goals.
This was the fourth time this season that the west Londoners have hit double digits in a league game.
That was how the game would end as Brentford secured the three points which take them a step closer to their promotion aspirations.
Osborne's side are next in action on Sunday 6 April as they take on Ashmount Leigh at home.
