ESPN lists Arizona WR Tetairoa McMillan as 2nd best WR prospect in 2025 NFL Draft

As the 2025 NFL Draft approaches, one expert NFL writer has Arizona Wildcats wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan as one of the top receiving prospects in the draft.

ESPN’s Aaron Schatz lists McMillan as the second best receiver prospect in the draft, behind Colorado’s 2024 Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter. Schatz noted McMillan as a similar historical draft prospect to Julio Jones and former Sun Devil N’Keal Harry.

McMillan is known for his size (6-foot-4, 219 pounds), catch radius and ability to win contested catches rather than using raw speed. As you can see, prospects similar to McMillan were all over the map when it came to their performance in the NFL. Other similar prospects chosen in the first round include Sammy Watkins, Kenny Britt and Jonathan Baldwin.

In 2024, McMillan caught 84 passes for 1,319 yards and eight touchdowns, leading the Big-12 in receiving yards. For his efforts, he was named an All-American as well as a member of the All-Big 12 First Team.

In three seasons with the Wildcats, McMillan caught 213 passes for 3,423 yards and 26 touchdowns. He finished his time in Arizona as the school’s all-time receiving leader.

Where is Tetairoa McMillan projected to land in latest mock drafts?

McMillan is projected by many writers to be selected in the first round of this year’s draft. McMillan impressed during a private NFL workout on March 17 where he reportedly posted a 4.48 40-yard dash.

Fox Sports’ Geoff Schwartz has McMillan going to the Dallas Cowboys at No. 12 overall while CBS Sports’ Kyle Stackpole has him landing with the Seattle Seahawks at No. 18. NFL Network’s Eric Edholm has McMillan being drafted to the Denver Broncos at No. 20 overall in his latest mock draft.

Pro Football Focus and CBS Sports listed McMillan as the top receiver prospect with PFF listing him as the third best player in the draft. CBS Sports listed him as the seventh best player in the draft while NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah sees him as the 16th best.
