Erling Haaland of Manchester City celebrates with teammate Nico O'Reilly after scoring his side's first goal during the Emirates FA Cup Quarter Final match between AFC Bournemouth and Manchester City
Erling Haaland celebrates his Manchester City equaliser with Nico O'Reilly
Manchester City are through to the FA Cup semi-finals after a second-half comeback against Bournemouth. Pep Guardiola's side looked to be heading for more disappointment after Evanilson had put the home side ahead.
That came after Erling Haaland had missed a penalty and two other good chances, while Matheus Nunes was twice culpable in the move that saw the home side scoring. However, Nico O'Reilly came on in the second half and changed the game.
He assisted Haaland and then, after the Norwegian went off injured, supplied fellow sub Omar Marmoush with the winner as City saw out an important win. Here are the player ratings from the game.
Ederson: Put in some difficult spots by his teammates and dealt with everything pretty well, although he wasn't strong for the goal. 6
Nunes: Abysmal not once but twice to concede the goal. He was better bombing forward but he cost City again from full-back. 4
Khusanov: Tested by a quick Bournemouth attack and earned a yellow card for a tactical foul in the City third. Subbed at half-time. 5
Dias: Improved as the game went on, with City really limiting Bournemouth in the second half. 6
Gvardiol: Couldn't get forward as often as he can, especially when moving inside in the second half, but added composure. 7
Kovacic: A few nervy moments but he kept up with play well after just two starts in the last 10 games. 6
Gundogan: One of his better games, finding pockets of space to attack Bournemouth and getting back to help out. 7
Silva: Similar to Gundogan, he was more effective than he has been of late and was looking to make more happen in the final third. 7
De Bruyne: He was regularly involved in the play, he just wasn't able to dictate or influence a lot. 7
Foden: Another game that passed him by as he was unable to connect with Haaland or lead the team out of trouble. 5
Haaland: A penalty miss and two good chances gone begging, then an equaliser and a blow to see him off injured. 5
