New York Knicks Announce Roster Update Before Trail Blazers Matchup

The New York Knicks' form has been quite shaky since Jalen Brunson suffered an ankle injury in a matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers.

They've posted a mediocre 6-5 record since the superstar guard has been sidelined, proving their need for his offensive prowess.

The Knicks haven't had a typical Tom Thibodeau-led squad identity, as they aren't a hard-nosed, tough-to-score-on team. With that, they need Bruson on the hardwood.

However, the Villanova product being injured has allowed surprising talents to step up in his absence. Tyler Kolek, a 24-year-old rookie, has been a brilliant playmaker off the bench with Brunson sidelined.

Injuries at this stage of the season are brutal, as New York is mounting for the playoffs. Ahead of their coming contest against the Portland Trail Blazers, they've got a 46-27 record as the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Trail Blazers aren't a bottom-feeder, though they are the No. 12 seed in the Western Conference with a 32-42 record. They remain a subpar team and the Knicks should be able to come away with a Sunday evening victory.

Knicks announce roster move before Trail Blazers game

Ahead of an earlier-than-normal tip-off against Portland, the Knicks announced a minor roster move, as they've recalled Pacome Dadiet from their G League-affiliated Westchester Knicks.

"The New York Knicks Recall Pacôme Dadiet from the Westchester Knicks," Knicks PR announced.

Evidently, Dadiet has hardly played on the club's main squad as the rookie isn't quite ready to contribute at the NBA level. Getting reps at the G League level allow him to develop and get game reps.

The move, again, is minor. It won't have a massive impact whatsoever, and he likely won't see the floor for the Knicks as they take on the Trail Blazers.
