Kelly Clarkson Savagely Trolls Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones

Three-time Grammy award winner Kelly Clarkson is a known Dallas Cowboys fan.

She's been very vocal over the last several years about wanting to see her team shake off its postseason struggles and get back to a Super Bowl.

But like most Cowboys fans, Clarkson is seemingly growing impatient with owner Jerry Jones and the head-scratching moves he's made (or didn't make) in the team's pursuit of returning to Super Bowl-contender status.

During a recent appearance on Kylie Kelce's "Not Gonna Lie" podcast, Clarkson, who once turned a Cowboys jersey into a ballgown to wear to the 2023 NFL Honors, took a subtle jab at Jones for continuing to expect the fans to remain hopeful that 2025 is the year the team returns to prominence.

"Our team is probably one of the most hated," Clarkson said. "Because I also think, too, we're always so hopeful. I don't think there's been more dreamers, like since the ‘90s. Every year is our year.

"I just read something with my sister and I guess Jerry Jones had said, ‘Well, now is the time,' and I was like, ‘Oh, OK. So it's different from the last ‘now's the time last year, which was also the time.'"

Jones has been on his fans' bad side for quite a while.

After promising them he would be aggressive in free agency last offseason, Jones signed just five players who weren't on Dallas' roster the previous year, and only linebacker Eric Kendricks made a noticeable impact on the team in 2024.

This year, Jones has been under fire for the way he handled former head coach Mike McCarthy's exit and subsequently promoting offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer as his replacement, and dragging out contract negotiations with star pass-rusher Micah Parsons.

The Cowboys have won just five playoff games since their last Super Bowl championship in 1995, and they've never made it past the divisional round in that time.
