Bills Draft ‘Mad Max’ In Latest Mock

Kentucky's Maxwell Hairston is considered one of the top cornerbacks in the upcoming draft class. As we get closer to the start of the draft process in April, he's a player who could hear his name called in the first round.

And the Buffalo Bills are certainly a team who can use Hairston's skillset dutifully at this point.

In his latest mock draft, Charles Davis went on NFL.com to predict that Buffalo will take Hairston and place him immediately in the starting lineup to replace Rasul Douglas.

"Bills Mafia greets Mad Max! He brings plenty of charisma and a terrific skill set at cornerback that is needed in Western New York. I'd keep an eye on Boston College edge rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku here, too," said Davis.

Hairston is a speed demon who ran a 4.28 forty time at the Scouting Combine and six passes in his career in the SEC. Five of those came in 2023 where he returned two for touchdowns.

Buffalo needs to find a kind of playmaker at both corner and special teams and Hairston is an excellent fit for that. While Christian Benford has become a lockdown corner, he isn't the kind of athlete who can create offense with his interceptions.

Hairston is the perfect player to do something like that.

And if the Bills can draft a player like the Kentucky product, it could very well change how Buffalo is perceived on defense when going up against some of the best offenses in the AFC at this point.
