Chelsea are already plotting their next raid on Sporting CP. They have already signed Geovany Quenda and Darrio Essugo. Now, they have their sights set on another young superstar with high potential.

The Blues signed Geovany Quenda ans Darrio Essugo for a combined £62.5 million. Darrio Essugo will join the club this summer whereas Quenda will join next summer. Now, the West London club are planning to raid Sporting yet again.

Chelsea keen to sign Sporting defender

According to Luis Pinto Coelho, the Blues are keen to sign Ousmane Diomande. The defender is lookef upon by multiple top clubs after coming into lights this season. His steller performances have Sporting demanding a fee close to Quenda’s transfer fee.

Chelsea are expected to make big moves to improve their defence this summer. They are keen to sign atleast 2 defenders and are prepared to spend big. In addition, they are likely to stick with their plans of signing young players which makes Diomande a key target.

Diomande is 21 years old and represents Ivory Coast on international stage. He has represented his country 9 times so far and has bagged 1 goal. For Sporting, Diomande has played 93 games having joined the club in January 2023. He has scored 6 goals and picked 1 assist for the Portugese giants.

Diomande can be open to the move as playing in Premier League will excite him. He has £67 million release clause in his current contract. However, his price had dropped and as mentioned above he could cost below £50 million.

Chelsea are said to part ways with both Chalobah and Disasi. In addition, they are also said to move-on from Badiashile if a proper offer arises. This will be followed by the arrival of atleast two new defenders. In addition to Diomande, the Blues also have sight on Marc Guehi and Dean Huijsen.
