There is a lot of speculation around what the first few picks will look like for the Dallas Cowboys in this year's NFL Draft.
Judging by the list of needs, many can guess who should be taken ... but no one can say what actually will happen.
Leading up to the April 24 draft day, Cowboys insiders have taken to social media to make their predictions on the team's plans.
Cowboys scout and radio personality on 105.3 "The Fan" Bryan Broaddus has announced what he expects the Cowboys to do with their early picks:
"WR CB DE RB....First Three Rounds." he said via X.
Assuming these selections are in order, of course, let's dive into some potential targets that fit these positions and draft spots.
Wide Receiver
Arizona's Tetairoa McMillan is the dream scenario with Dallas' lone first-round pick. Outside of the WR/CB hybrid Travis Hunter, McMillan is at the top of many scouts' receiver rankings.
After a stellar scouting season, McMillan has seen his stock rise. If he doesn't fall to Dallas at No. 12, other wideout targets could be Missouri's Luther Burden III or Texas' Matthew Golden.
All three of those prospects have unique builds and skillsets, but the most important point is that they each would serve as an electric running-mate to CeeDee Lamb.
Rumors have turned away from Dallas reaching for a running back this early, so we agree with Broaddus' take here for Round 1. It now comes down to which receiver is available.
Cornerback
Another glaring need that is addressed early is a starting-caliber cornerback opposite of DaRon Bland. The Cowboys will be without Trevon Diggs for a bit to open the season, so a fresh body to compete for a starting spot could be top-pick rookie.
Kentucky's Maxwell Hairston - the Combine's 4.28 40-yard dash champion - received early attention from Dallas during the interview window.
However, he may be gone by the time Dallas rolls back around, having received a few late-first-round mocks.
Other corners that have received second-round grades are Ole Miss' Trey Amos and East Carolina's Shavon Revel Jr. They are both long bodies with natural physicality that may need some fine-tuning, but can be impact players almost immediately in the right opportunity.
Dallas owns the 44th pick in the second round and should have their pick at these and other cornerback prospects.
Defensive End
The Cowboys have put a lot of free-agency attention on the defensive line, but losing two huge contributors in DeMarcus Lawrence and Chauncey Golston force the organization to look for more depth through the Draft.
This class is loaded with elite defensive end and tackle prospects, but Broaddus expects an edge rusher opposite of Micah Parsons to be the first choice.

Running Back
Finally, Dallas gets to the position so many in Cowboys Nation want them to grab in Round 1. No, it won't be Ashton Jeanty, but there may still be a reliable tailback this deep into the Draft.
A lot of buzz has been centered on Miami's Damien Martinez, who also grew up in the DFW area and will be attending Dallas Day.
Other running back targets could be UCF's All-Big 12 honoree RJ Harvey or either of the Ohio State tandem TreVeyon Henderson or Quinshon Judkins if they fall this far.
A dark horse here may also be Rutgers' Kyle Monangai in the late rounds.

Keep in mind ... Broaddus did reveal four positions in his prediction. Dallas only has three guaranteed picks in the first three rounds (12, 44, 76).
The Cowboys scout may be hinting at a trade that gets the team on the clock again in Day 2.
An interesting note is that Broaddus also didn't mention the Cowboys snagging a quarterback prospect in the first three rounds, despite the rumors about Quinn Ewers and others...
All in all, those closest to the Cowboys believe similar sentiments as the fans' wish list for this NFL Draft.
The anticipation for Dallas' selections - and the ones that precede them - will have everyones undivided attention.
