West Ham became only the third team to take points off Chelsea in the Women's Super League this season when they struck late in a 2-2 draw at Kingsmeadow on Sunday night.
Chelsea are still six points clear at the top and well placed to go on and claim the title, but this will go down as a surprise result.
The home team got off to a flying start, scoring twice in the opening 21 minutes.
They went ahead when Maika Hamano volleyed into the net after Ashley Lawrence headed the ball into the danger area.
And Aggie Beever-Jones made it 2-0 soon after with a composed finish, following good work from Sjoeke Nusken and Catarina Macario.
A long-range effort from Erin Cuthbert hit the crossbar as Chelsea looked for more goals.
But West Ham were not cowed and Shekiera Martinez scored the first of her two goals, hammering home just before half-time.
And with the visitors far better after the break, they were rewarded in stoppage time when Martinez headed across goal and into the net to earn The Hammers a point.
Arsenal cruise to comfortable win over Palace
---------------------------------------------
Arsenal dispatched bottom side Crystal Palace 4-0 to apply pressure on league leaders Chelsea on a packed day of Women’s Super League action.
The Gunners were far too strong for Palace in the spring sunshine in Sutton, with Beth Mead on target twice for The Gunners.
Mead opened the scoring after 14 minutes with her 50th WSL goal, slotting home a half-volley from a fine Chloe Kelly cross.
Alessia Russo doubled the lead for Arsenal 12 minutes later when Mariona Caldentey fed the ball through to her and she fired into the net.
The visitors were generally in cruise control until they added two more goals late on.
First, with 13 minutes left, Kelly's cross was turned into her own net by Allyson Swaby.
And in stoppage time, Mead shot into the top corner to cement a comfortable victory for the north London team.
The result saw Arsenal, who are also gearing up for a UEFA Women's Champions League semi-final against Lyon, back to second place in the table.

They moved ahead of Manchester United in third on goal difference.
Meanwhile, newly promoted Palace are languishing at the bottom of the table.
United see off Everton to close in on Champions League
------------------------------------------------------
Manchester United beat Everton 2-0 in Sunday's early game to keep pace with the WSL’s top three.
It was also a victory that saw United close in on a prized place in next season's Champions League.
The hosts went in front after 22 minutes, Everton goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan spilling a free-kick and Dominique Janssen taking advantage to put the ball into the net.
United went close to adding to that goal before the break, with Maya Le Tissier seeing her shot from distance crash off the crossbar.
Grace Clinton made it 2-0 straight after half-time, flicking the ball home from Leah Galton's low cross.
Late drama saw Aston Villa claim a 2-1 win over Liverpool and extend the gap between them and the relegation-threatened Eagles to four points.
Liverpool’s Marie Hobinger saw her penalty after 57 minutes cancelled out by a goal from Kirsty Hanson 11 minutes later.
Jenna Clark's own-goal three minutes from time gave Villa the victory.
Manchester City bounced back from their painful UEFA Women's Champions League exit at the hands of Chelsea in midweek to win 2-1 at Brighton.
Kerstin Casparij's first WSL strike of the season, tapping home from close range, broke the deadlock after 37 minutes.
Vivianne Miedema smashed home a late second, before Charlize Rule netted a consolation goal in stoppage time for Brighton.
Leicester and Tottenham drew 1-1, despite long periods of domination in the game for Spurs.
Leicester took the lead after 55 minutes, with Hannah Cain driving a fierce shot at Lize Kop, who could only parry the ball towards defender Josefine Rybrink who put the ball into her own net.
But seven minutes later, Drew Spence levelled for the visitors, turning in a cross from Jessica Naz.
