Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has launched a major recruitment drive, inviting applications for cabin crew and pilot positions.
The hiring push comes as PIA prepares to resume flights to the UK, aiming to strengthen operations and boost revenue. The airline announced job openings for Cabin Crew and ATR Pilots, including First Officers and Captains, via its social media channels.
Previously, PIA operated 21 weekly flights to London, Manchester, and Birmingham. This recruitment follows the EU aviation regulator's decision to lift its ban, allowing PIA to resume flights to Europe from January, starting with Paris. Meanwhile, the government is also working on PIA's privatisation and the outsourcing of Islamabad Airport.
Cabin Crew Recruitment
PIA is hiring 40 Cabin Crew members (male and female), welcoming both fresh graduates and experienced professionals. The airline seeks individuals with excellent communication skills, the ability to perform under pressure, and a passion for delivering top-tier customer service.
Eligibility Criteria:
Education: Minimum graduation from any HEC-recognized institute.
Age: Cabin Crew Trainees (under 25 years), Experienced Crew (under 30 years).
Physical Requirements: Well-groomed appearance; minimum height: 5'6" (males), 5'2" (females).
Language Skills: Fluency in English and Urdu is mandatory.
Health Standards: Applicants must meet PIA’s health and vision requirements.
Pilot recruitment
PIA is also hiring 20 ATR Pilots, including First Officers and Captains, with the following experience requirements:
Captain: Minimum 1,500 flying hours.
First Officer: Minimum 500 flying hours.
Qualification: Valid CPL/ATPL with IR certification from the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority.
Age Limit: Captains (up to 50 years), First Officers (up to 40 years).
Salary and benefits: Successful candidates will receive attractive salary packages and opportunities to fly on international routes. Pilots must provide a refundable bank guarantee of PKR 5,000,000 and sign a training bond.
Application Process: Interested candidates can apply through the PIA website or the National Job Portal. A processing fee of Rs2,000 applies. Applicants must submit required documents, including qualification certificates, identity proof, and passport-sized photographs, to PIA’s recruitment office.
