Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht has had a huge offseason thus far. Bringing Haason Reddick to Tampa Bay in free agency filled a massive roster need ahead of the upcoming NFL Draft.
Licht also re-signed Lavonte David rather than let him retire, which was also a huge move.
And while the Bucs have made several key moves in free agency this offseason, they may not be done, and The Athletic's Dan Pompei labeled linebacker as the biggest need yet to fill.
"Bringing back Lavonte David was significant, but the Bucs still have a need at inside linebacker. David played well last year, but he's 35, so he might not play as well or be as healthy in the coming season," Pompei wrote. "And even if he plays well again, a replacement is likely to be needed for 2026. Aside from David, the Bucs are still searching for another inside linebacker. The team remains hopeful about 2023 fifth-round pick SirVocea Dennis, but he has yet to start a game.
"Free-agent pickup Anthony Walker also could be a factor. The Bucs have a need at cornerback as well. Their primary need, however, is inside linebacker." Pompei wrote.

Licht and Tampa Bay will have ample opportunity to find one or two young linebackers in the draft, but bringing in a seasoned veteran would benefit the team much quicker as the defense attempts to catch up with the level of the offense.
