Ever since the 2024 campaign came to an end, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has embarked on quite a roller coaster of emotions. After initially implying that he'd be requesting a trade this offseason, Hill ended up walking back his comments and apologizing for his actions. Now, however, he's fueling those trade rumors again.
After the Dolphins endured a rough season, due in large part to Tua Tagovailoa's latest concussion woes, Hill made it clear that he wanted out in the immediate aftermath of their season finale against the New York Jets. He ended up changing his tune, though, committing himself to Tagovailoa and the Dolphins.
"Tua, he's my guy, always will be my guy, no matter what," Hill said on "Up And Adams back in February." "I'm sure he understands my frustration. We all want to win. Tua, he's another competitor. He's a hell of a competitor. A lot of people don't know that. He's a winner. He's consistent. So I'm looking forward just to us continuing to build our relationship even more, and this is my public apology ... This is my public apology to you, Tua. Love you, bro."
Since then, it's seemed like all has been well between Hill and the Dolphins, but that changed on Sunday. The superstar wide receiver posted several cryptic messages on his X account in response to various trade rumors involving him, insinuating that he could now be looking to get dealt once again.

While Hill played in all 17 games for Miami last season, his numbers were unusually low. Catching 81 passes for 959 yards and six touchdowns is nothing to scoff at, but compared to 2023, when he had 119 receptions for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns, it was quite a steep drop in production.
Hill has two years left on his contract after signing a three-year, $90 million revised deal last August that tacked on extra guaranteed money to his deal. If Hill does end up getting traded, the team taking him would likely have to take the majority of this deal onto their books.
