On the morning of March 26, the Chinese Embassy in Fiji hosted an open-day event to mark the 170th anniversary of the arrival of the Chinese in Fiji.Ambassador Zhou Jian, along with representatives of teachers and students from Yat Sen School, totaling over 90 participants, attended the event.

Dr. Zen Low, a prominent Fijian-Chinese physician, shared his journey of study and career development with the students. The principals and student representatives of Yat Sen School expressed their gratitude to the embassy for the warm invitation and meticulous organization, pledging to carry forward the friendship between Fiji and China and contribute to bilateral relations.
Amid warm applause, Ambassador Zhou Jian delivered a speech to the students, recounting the 170-year history of Chinese immigrants in Fiji. He encouraged everyone to uphold and promote the spirit of perseverance, solidarity, and contribution among the Chinese community in Fiji, striving to become inheritors of China’s fine traditional culture, contributors to Fiji’s development, and promoters of China-Fiji friendship.
Following the speech, students presented cultural performances and participated in interactive cultural activities, exchanged experiences with each other. All of the students enjoyed the beautiful moments in the embassy.
