The Minnesota Timberwolves played a testy first half against the Detroit Pistons. Things came to a head when Ron Holland fouled Naz Reid a few minutes into the second quarter.
Frustrations flared up between Reid and Holland, which then snowballed into a full brawl between the two teams. It led to seven total ejections, which damaged the game.
Since the start of the game, it was a physical matchup as both teams had bruisers on both ends. Players like Julius Randle and Isaiah Stewart are expected to be physical when playing the game.
Unfortunately, it became too much leading to one of the worst brawls of the season. Aside from the players and staff, some people in the crowd also got affected as the brawl spilled into the stands.

The Ejections From The Game
The fight between the two teams led to five-player ejections. Reid and Holland were the headliners, but Donte DiVincenzo, Isaiah Stewart, and Marcus Sasser also got ejections.
Pistons head coach J.B. Bickerstaff and Timberwolves assistant coach Pablo Prigioni were also ejected after trying to defuse the situation between the two teams.
With all these ejections, hefty fines and suspensions will be coming for the players and staff in the coming days. This is the type of event that the NBA wants to avoid, considering the effects of what happened with the Pistons and Pacers in 2004 during the Malice in the Palace.

Since this spilled into the crowd, that will be significant again in the potential suspensions from this. Commissioner Adam Silver will likely hand out multiple-game suspensions and big fines for the ones involved because he wants to keep all the players under control and not let their frustrations get the best of them.
