Hansi Flick’s side restored their three-point lead at the top of the table with victory over Michel’s men, and Araujo felt his team showed real character at Montjuic.
> “The mentality of this team is excellent because they know how to handle difficult situations. In many matches, we were losing or tied, but the team is always present and mentally strong,” he told reporters.
>
> “We are always convinced that we can beat any team. We have a young team, but with a very strong mentality, and that helps us all and gives us confidence.
>
> “In the first half, we struggled a bit to find the goal, but the team was fully engaged.
>
> “I’m very happy with this victory because it keeps us at the top of the league and allows us to continue fighting for our goal, which is, of course, to win the league. I think we played well overall today.”
The victory means that Barcelona are still unbeaten in 2025. Flick’s side have won 17 of 20 games and drawn the other three.
