Eric Garcia marked his 100th appearance with [FC Barcelona](https://www.barcablaugranes.com) with a win over his former club, Girona FC.
“For a kid who started at La Masia as a child, and who has always been a Barça fan, it’s obviously something special and something to keep going,” he said.
There was a small ceremony for him after the game, attended by all team members, to commemorate the milestone.
Garcia, who started as a defender but has moonlighted as a midfielder this season, played a good game as Barcelona won 4-1 against Girona.
This was Garcia’s 30th game for Barcelona this season. He made two appearances with the club last season before going on loan. The season before that, he played 32 matches for Barcelona and 36 the one before that.
Prior to that, he had spent time at [Manchester City](https://bitterandblue.sbnation.com) having received his footballing education at Barcelona’s academy until age 16.
