Ahead of the final announcement for the 2025 Hall of Fame class, NBA legend Dwight Howard emphasized that he's happy with the career he had regardless of what happens.
Howard is one of the finalists for the 2025 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame class, along with fellow NBA legend Carmelo Anthony, as well as WNBA greats like Sue Bird, Sylvia Fowles and Maya Moore, among many others.
The announcement for the official Hall of Fame class is scheduled for April 5 at the NCAA Men's Final Four in San Antonio.
After the 2025 NCAA Tournament Final Four has been decided, and ahead of the big Hall of Fame moment, Howard took to social media to express how he feels about the potential recognition.
"Whether I make the Hall of Fame or not getting inducted into the Orlando Magic HOF and celebrating with my partners was a blessing and I'm truly appreciative," Howard wrote, referring to his recent induction into the Orlando Magic Hall of Fame.

Dwight Howard is a one-time NBA champion with the Los Angeles Lakers, an eight-time All-Star and three-time Defensive Player of the Year, among many other accomplishments. He was a dominant force in his prime years with the Magic, even leading the team to the 2009 NBA Finals.
A one-time NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion, Howard is also a member of the 2008 gold medal-winning team in the Beijing Olympics.
Indeed, the 39-year-old center-who last played in the NBA in 2022-has the credentials to be a Hall of Famer. Whatever happens on Friday, though, it's clear that Howard is at peace with what he has done in his pro career.
