Mohamed Salah is one of the biggest stars in world football, but the forward does create time to bring delight to some young local footballers on Merseyside.
While working with sporting brand Adidas, the Egyptian made an appearance to surprise a girls’ team from the South Liverpool community clubs, Sefton Park Rangers.

Mo Salah’s surprise to young players on Merseyside
Mohamed Salah shocked a local girls’ football team during the week, as he created heart-touching scenes in one of the areas around Liverpool.
The Liverpool winger showed up on the sidelines at the Tiber Football Centre in Toxteth while there was an ongoing training session. He turned up as a supporter for the young players, offering them words of encouragement, advice while providing guidance for them.
As the session was ongoing, Salah expressed Adidas’ “Sidelines Essentials”, a program that displays the positive characters that those on the sidelines should take up. This is a move that could encourage an estimated 20 million more athletes to take up playing sports more frequently.
In the words of Mohamed Salah
Thisisanfield reports that Salah spoke on the benefits of support from people on the sidelines saying,
“With any game of football, there is pressure to perform for your teammates, coach, fans and yourself, which is why it’s very important to have someone that believes in you.”
He added,
“Encouragement is the key to unlocking potential. Support can come in many forms, and sometimes what may seem like a helpful gesture can in fact be the opposite, so it’s great to see adidas create something so useful with their ‘Sidelines Essentials’.
One of the coaches at Sefton Park Rangers, Molly Evans admitted that it was a wonderful message to be spread and he reiterated Salah’s point.
The surprise by Mohamed Salah was a beautiful gesture, one of the many reasons why he is loved and adored in Merseyside.
