NBA Insider Zach Lowe Announces Exciting New Media Partnership

Shortly before the NBA season tipped off in the fall of 2024, ESPN got slammed for a decision that they made, deciding to part ways with NBA reporter Zach Lowe. As someone who is widely regarded as one of, if not the best NBA reporter in the game, it was confounding that the network would let him go just a few weeks before the season began.

At long last, though, Lowe has officially found a new home.

On Sunday night in the opening to his podcast, The Ringer's Bill Simmons announced that Lowe would be joining his media network and starting a podcast on The Ringer Podcast Network, in conjunction with Spotify.

Lowe will also presumably be writing for The Ringer as well.

Report: Bills Simmons is Leaving ESPN

"We have not worked together for 10 years, and now we are going to be working together again," Simmons said on Sunday night. "Zach Lowe is coming to The Ringer, and he's coming to Spotify. He's going to have his podcast and we are going to launch it next week."

Simmons and Lowe first worked together over a decade ago, when Grantland hired Lowe away from Sports Illustrated. It has been a strange few months in the NBA without Lowe routinely churning out content, though he has done some stuff here and there on his own social media channels, but fortunately that will change going forward.

"Zach is one of the best people I have ever worked with, and I was really hoping that at some point in life, we would get to work together again," Simmons continued. "It's happening, and it's going to be in time for the end of the NBA season."

The name of Lowe's new podcast has not been announced yet, but Simmons says that a trailer is being released this week as the news gets out. Lowe will also be on the Bill Simmons Podcast at some point this week to promote the new show, and the new partnership.
