Hammers deny Blues
Shekiera Martinez struck twice to see West Ham United frustrate Chelsea at Kingsmeadow with a late 2-2 draw.
The league leaders raced into a two-goal lead inside 20 minutes thanks to Maika Hamano and Aggie Beever-Jones, but West Ham refused to give in.
Martinez opened her account three minutes before the interval before snatching a dramatic equaliser in the 91st-minute to earn her side a deserved share of the spoils.
Villa clinch huge three points
Aston Villa secured some breathing room in the BWSL relegation battle with a 2-1 defeat of Liverpool.
A Marie Hobinger penalty saw Liverpool take the lead on 57 minutes before Villa substitute Kirsty Hanson pulled her side level 11 minutes later.
From there Villa began to pile the pressure on the hosts, securing the winner when Jenna Clark put the ball past her own net with just three minutes left on the clock.
The result sees Natalia Arroyo's side move four points clear off bottom-placed Crystal Palace.
United keep title hopes alive
A professional 2-0 defeat of Everton saw Manchester United maintain slim hopes of a first BWSL title.
An error from Toffees goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan saw Dominique Janssen open the scoring after 22 minutes.
Grace Clinton then put the finishing touches on the result two minutes after the restart when she sent Leah Galton's low cross into the net.
United sit six points behind Chelsea with four games of the season remaining, with one of those matches seeing the two meet.
City bounce back against Brighton
Manchester City returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion.
Nick Cushing's side took the lead when Kerstin Casparij scored her first-ever Women's Super League goal, with Vivianne Miedema doubling her team's tally in the 90th-minute.
Charlize Rule pulled one back for the hosts deep into stoppage time but it would be too little, too late.
Foxes stifle Spurs
A string of saves from Janina Leitzig helped Leicester City hold Tottenham Hotspur to a 1-1 draw.
Leitzig twice denied Olivia Holdt, with Martha Thomas also unable to find a way past the shotstopper.
Down the other end, an own goal from Josefine Rybrink put Leicester City in front in the 55th minute, with Drew Spence restoring parity seven minutes later.
A late shot from Matilda Vinberg seemed set to clinch all three points, before Leitzig expertly saved and then scrambled away the resultant corner to earn her side a draw.
Gunners ground Eagles
Arsenal climbed back into second-place with a fine 4-0 win over Crystal Palace.
The Gunners set the tone after just 14 minutes, Beth Mead rifling home for her 50th BWSL goal for Arsenal before Alessia Russo doubled her side's lead 11 minutes later.
Allyson Swaby then turned the ball into her own net for the Gunners' third before Mead bagged her brace deep into stoppage time.
