On March 25, the Permanent Mission of China to the United Nations and other international organizations in Vienna and International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) jointly organized the first informal meeting of “ Friends of IACA ” at the Permanent Mission of China. Representatives from 16 countries and international organizations attended the meeting. The meeting had in-depth discussion on multilateral anti-corruption governance and the future development of IACA.

Ambassador Li Song pointed out that under the current international situation, China firmly supports multilateralism and calls on the international community to jointly commit to multilateralism. China supports the development of the Academy and will deepen practical anti-corruption cooperation with the Academy and all parties through concrete actions. This meeting is not only a new start for all to jointly promote the development of IACA, but also a good practice for the international community to work together to promote multilateral anti-corruption governance and strengthen anti-corruption exchanges and cooperation with the Global South.
Ambassador Li highlighted China’s remarkable achievements in anti-corruption since the 18th National Congress of CPC. A video titled “Together against Cross-border Corruption, China in Action” was played during the event. China’s anti-corruption concept, accomplishments and efforts on international cooperation were highly praised.
