Robertson is hunting his second Premier League winner's medal, having featured in all but two of the matches in Liverpool's triumphant 2019-20 season.
When asked how that team compares to Arne Slot's iteration, the No.26 replied: "It's a tough one to answer just now because we proved back then that we could win things.
"We've got the medals in the bag and we can look back on the memories. Just now, it's a maybe, it's not definite that anything is going to happen.
"I've played in some really good Liverpool teams. I've been very, very fortunate and I think the team that won the Champions League and the Premier League was a special team. We proved back then that we can win the big trophies and just now we've not done that.
"This team has definitely got the potential to be a really special team, but I think you need to win trophies to prove that.
"We still need to prove that we can compete with the best and I think so far we've done that very well."
