‘An impact in half his games’ – Fulham boss demands more from Smith Rowe

**Fulham boss Marco Silva wants more consistency from Emile Smith Rowe.**

The 24-year-old is set to face his former club when the Whites play Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday.

He has made 26 Premier League appearances since moving from north London last summer and has shown his ability at times – but Silva wants much more from him.

Silva said: “For a player with his quality, with his talent, of course we all expected consistent – we expected to see him have an impact every single game in a Fulham shirt.

“He has probably played more than 20-25 games already. We saw the impact in half of them, but for a player like him we expect, we want, and we are working with him to have much more impact in a consistent way.”

Smith Rowe struggled with injuries during his time at Arsenal, making his lack of consistency for Fulham perhaps inevitable.

“It doesn’t surprise me because he’s a player who hasn’t played enough football in the last two seasons. He’s had ups and downs,” said Silva.

Fulham will be looking to bounce back from the disappointment of Saturday’s [**3-0 defeat at home to Crystal Palace**](https://www.westlondonsport.com/fulham/fulham-v-crystal-palace-fa-cup-report) in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

They are eighth in the table and very much in the race for a European place.

“We have things to fight for. I believe if we are at our best level we can respond very well,” Silva declared.
