Agreement on point of intersection of borders of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan signed
AKIPRESS.COM - The agreement on the point of intersection of the borders of 3 countries and Khujand Declaration of Eternal Friendship were signed following the trilateral talks of the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan on March 31 in Khujand.
The heads of state said signing of these documents symbolizes respect of sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country, serves as example of a constructive dialogue and effective cooperation in Central Asia.
The leaders of the 3 countries attended the opening ceremony of a symbolical stele on the point of the intersection of 3 borders via a video link. The heads of state pressed the button on a tribune. The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Deputy Prime Ministers of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan cut a ribbon, officially opening the stele then.
The stele symbolizes friendship of the nations and a new era of cooperation, trust, good neighborliness between the country after complete regulation of the border issues.
