Having the chance to reintegrate Saka into the squad will come as a huge boost especially considering the UEFA Champions League tie with Real Madrid to come in the coming weeks. However, after the post to social media showing Saka’s return to the grass, the hype and excitement have gone through the roof.
Arteta was therefore naturally asked about Saka’s return and for more specifics on when he might be seen and in what capacity. However, what Arteta would say was perhaps beyond what many might expect.
When asked for an update on Bukayo Saka’s return to action Arteta said:" Bukayo is ready to go!"
Many have worried whether the winger has been rushed back from action. That being said, Arteta did reiterate that the amount of time needed to return from his injury has been respected.
"He is pushing, we have to respect the timeframe," he said. "He is ready to go."
