Cowboys Announce Free Agency Moves Update with ‘Not Done Yet’ Hint

The Dallas Cowboys have been rather proactive in free agency this season, with 10 new players walking through the doors, compared to one 12 months ago.

But none are the big needle-moving players fans wanted. Instead, solid starters and rotational players have been the big item on the menu for the front office.

There have been some reports of a big swing for Cooper Kupp, but the price was deemed too high. However, that is what we have been asking for; they should at least try.

But with still $33 million in cap space, many are wondering what the franchise will do with that salary cap pie, and for COO Stephen Jones, who spoke at the annual league meeting, the Cowboys aren't done adding players.

"We're not done yet," Jones said. "We still got some things that are out standing that we're trying to get done. Missed a few guys along the way too in terms of the number just being a lot higher than we thought it would be on a couple guys."

So the franchise still has one eye on free agency, and with a host of players like Keenan Allen, Tyler Lockett, and even Asante Samuel Jr. still without teams, there are options.

Of course, the looming extension of Micah Parsons would help in freeing up roughly $10 million in cap space, so maybe it is wise to get that done sooner rather than later.

And along the way, there is some skepticism among those in Cowboys Nation who concede that while there have been some upgrades to this roster, Dallas still seems way behind in the chase to built a contender when compared to what's happening with the world champion Eagles and the Commanders.

But still, with the Cowboys being far more proactive than they were a year ago in free agency, it appears they aren't done adding talent.

Just don't expect it to be the big signing fans have been craving.
